So what else is there to do…. We have a steam railway to take you up to the Devil’s Bridge falls, an 11 mile journey of mountains and scenery though our vale of Rheidol. This train leaves from the station of the town centre.
Constitution Hill, a cliff railway will take you to the summit with breath-taking views and experience through an obscura camera 100 miles of land and sea.
Borth Zoo, accessible from the town centre by train, a day at the zoo with the exciting arrival of the lions and you can visit our lovely sandy beaches.
BIRDS OF PREY
Birds of prey…the Red Kites, bred and fed in a beautiful location of Nant yr Arian, 7 miles from the hotel, also you will find in this area marked walks, a challenging mountain biking routes from difficult to severe.
The Osprey’s, only a 20 minute drive from the hotel, Wales’s rarest and most enigmatic bird, you will find a breeding pair that you can observe and watch in flight and enjoy a live video link. Here is will find marked walks and enjoy nature at its best.
During the winter we welcome our visitors from Russia, the starlings who come back to Aberystwyth to live for the warmer climate and every evening after 3.30pm they entertain our pier and promenade with their spectacular performance, all this free of charge.
