There's exciting news for food lovers in Cardigan Bay. Park Kitchen, the much-loved Park Lodge restaurant in Aberystwyth, has launched its brand-new menus — and they're packed with fresh flavours, Welsh favourites and plenty of choice for every appetite.

Whether you're a guest at Park Lodge Hotel, a student at Aberystwyth University, or simply searching for restaurants Aberystwyth locals recommend, Park Kitchen's new menu has something for you.

Start the Day the Welsh Way

Bore da! Breakfast at Park Kitchen begins with a warm Welsh welcome. The star of the show is the classic Welsh Breakfast: cured bacon, pork sausage, egg, hash brown, black pudding, tomato, mushrooms and beans, served with sourdough toast.

Not a meat eater? No problem. Enjoy the Park Veggie Breakfast and a fully plant-based Park Vegan Breakfast too. Lighter options include honey porridge, poached or scrambled eggs with avocado on a breakfast muffin, and triple-stacked pancakes with berries, yoghurt and maple syrup.

Hotel guests can also enjoy the Park Buffet Breakfast, with cereals, fruit, pastries, juices and yoghurts — perfect fuel before a stroll along the promenade. No visit to Aberystwyth is complete without a walk along the mile-long Victorian seafront, so you'll want a good breakfast first.

Lunch and Brunch, Done Properly

The new lunch menu runs from 12pm to 5pm, and it's a real crowd-pleaser. Brunch lovers can tuck into a Welsh Breakfast until late or try Welsh Rarebit on sourdough — a true taste of Wales.

Hot sandwiches are a new highlight. Choose from the Park Club with chicken and bacon, smoky streaky bacon with brie and cranberry, cod goujons with tartare sauce, or chorizo with mozzarella and tomato. Each comes with a side of chips.

Small plates are ideal for sharing. Think breaded halloumi with sweet chilli, prawn cocktail, loaded potato skins, and red onion and tomato bruschetta. Many are available in two sizes, so you can graze or go big.

Dinner with Something for Everyone

From 5pm to 9pm, the dinner menu takes centre stage. The "From the Farm" section celebrates local produce, including traditional lamb cawl, chicken, bacon and leek pie, and 8oz Welsh rump and ribeye steaks. When you order a Welsh steak at Park Kitchen, you're tasting some of the best meat in the world.

Prefer seafood? Fish and chips, scampi and roast salmon all feature "From the Sea". Fancy something global? The "From Afar" section offers katsu chicken curry, tandoori skewers, lasagne and the fiery Chicken Dragon's Fire Curry for spice fans. There's also a vegan cauliflower and red pepper curry.

Pizza lovers haven't been forgotten. Hand-stretched sourdough pizzas come in Margherita, Hawaiian and Meat Feast varieties. And the build-your-own burgers — beef, southern-fried chicken, or spiced veggie — let you stack toppings exactly how you like them.

Little Diners and Sweet Endings

Families are warmly welcomed. The children's menu includes pasta, chicken goujons, fish fingers, pizza and sausage and mash, each served with a drink.

Save room for dessert. The new pudding menu features sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownie, Eton mess, cheesecake and indulgent Oreo and Biscoff sundaes. Many dishes across all menus can be made gluten-free—just ask the team.
